  1. First thing, this tutorial is directed for newbies like me, who does not have much idea about this kind of stuff and are just new to this forum. When I first came to this forum with my new Onda tablet I was so lost about the process to install a new firmware in it, so I found a guide to do the process with PhoenixSuit. It was so easy and I did it in less than 10 minutes. I hope it will be helpful for those others wondering how to do this process. This is the link: http://androidxda.com/use-phoenix-suit-flash-firmware Remember, you don't must connect your tablet to the computer until you get to step 4 Also, once you are in the step 7 you can release the volume up/down button That is it guys. I hope it will help some of you who don't have any idea how to update the firmware of your tablet. PS: Sorry my english, my first language is spanish, I am just learning english.
  2. Hi I wonder if there is a new firmware available for the Onda 20 Plus? I found this one Firmware update? But not sure how to patch it or if it's even legit I'm still trying to resolve my windows sd card issue Thanks
  3. Ребята, у кого есть версия V18 ? Есть проблема - планшет уходит в глубокий сон и нельзя включить дисплей, только перезагрузка. Как вы думаете перепрошивка поможет ?
  4. Please, i need a dual os rom(android and windows ) for onda v80 plus Or a method to install windows 10 and android 5.1 in onda v80 plus Big thanks!!!
  5. This is my experience with Onda V919 Air Dual OS V8 and maybe some of you will find useful info. I don't use too much Android so I decided to increase space for Windows without losing Windows. A. Sofware and hardware: V919AIR Black Gold Edition 64GB dual system firmware 20151014_V1.0.1_V7 Andrews V919 AIR dual system Black Gold Edition Windows 10 TH2 system image -20151119.part1-3 Android Flashing PARTITION TABLES 7Zip Macrium Reflect Free Minitool Partition Wizzard Paragon ExtFS for Windows Notepad++ USB OTG HUB Wireless keyboard and mouse combo 2 USB sticks 8GB 32 GB SDcard USB to Ethernet adapter - I saved backups on NAS B. Steps: a. Initial "factory state" eMMC backup with Macrium Reflect. ( video C.2) Also I prepared a bootable USB for recovery and I verified if it is bootable. b. Prepared USB stick with Android firmware. (video C1) c. Edited partition.tbl and transferred to Android USB. Cache from 1GB to 256MB, System from 1.5GB to 1GB and data from 16.5GB to 6 GB. (video C3) d. Removed chinese apps from Android system partition.(video C4) e. Installed Google Play.apk and customized Android and Windows. f. Another backup with Macrium. g. Installed Android modified with new partition.tbl (see note) h. Restored, from the second backup( f ) : EFI, cache, system and data partitions for Android and 128 MB reserved partition, Windows(drive C) and Images partitions for Windows. I replaced partitions according their index number in ascending order. (video C5) i. Moved Images partition to the end of unallocated space and extended Windows(drive C) partition to include entire unallocated space. (video C5) j. Final backup. Note: at this stage there is only Android partitions, the rest being unallocated space. To boot from Macrium Reflect USB I had to use "Power and Volume +" procedure in order to access the boot selection menu and switch to Windows. If the USB stick is not recognized the menu will show only Android logo. Now my tablet has 5,8GB for Android data and 49GB for C:/ Windows. In the same way, editing data partition in partition.tbl ( for example instead of 10000 MB, 20000 MB), could be extended the space allocated for Android. During restaurations, dragging Windows partitions in unallocated space will give you opportunity to modify accordingly Windows and Image partitions to fill remaining space, using Minitool Partition Wizzard. C. How I did (Video tutorials): 1. Preparation of USB sticks for Android and Windows. 2. Backup of entire eMMC. 3. Edit partition table. 4. Debloat Android(remove chinese apps). 5. Restore Android and Windows after repartition without losing personalizations/data All steps were recorded on Virtualbox machine using an backup image of eMMC but before that were applied on my tablet. In the last video I messed backup images using one with the data partition and system partition already having 256MB respectively 1GB but the remaining 500MB were not allocated. Ignore unallocated space.

    Firmware needed

I have the following Tablet: V919 Air, SN: P919LBG3V9B00200. This is the golden ONDA, with dual boot and Win10 on the other side. I dont have 3G I stuck in a Android boot loop, but I can go in fastboot. Win10 does work. I am searching for the right firmware (hoping to leave Windows as it is) I found so far, but even this is V5 where I seems to have V9: Thanks for your help
  7. Hello, please exist some another firmware for V3? I have installed buggy releas 20161015 with problems like: 1) not possible move data of android apps to SD card (maps of navigation, data of games), in combination with 5GB free space for apps and data limit strong the tablet usage. 2) SD card connection is not stable after standby/wake up cycle (often stay micro sd-card disconnected). I use brand new SAMSUNG micro SDXC 64GB EVO Plus 3) Wifi behavior in standby is buggy - setting has no influence (setting on/off/charging) and when tablet sleep, WiFi drain very fast battery. Wifi stayes always ON in standby. 4) Wifi speed in Android is significant slower compare to Windows 10 (Win 10 - samba copy 6MBytes/s, Android only 2MBytes/s from NAS) distance 1meter from router. 5) 6-hour of tablet usage is only dream. With wifi off, only pdf read and 25% brightness i reached 3,5hours of endurance. Overnight discharge is horrible, probably during wifi sleep bug. Tablet is needed to switch off (no standby) and after than switch ON with annoying boot. Exist some less buggy Android firmware (can be older version, but more stable, bugs-less)? (I have tablet version V3, Android 5.1 15.10.2016)
  8. See this old post maybe you'll find some useful infos (steps and video tutorials). Here you have original Android and Windows firmwares, win 10 drivers, and an image of debloated Android ( data partition has only 6 GB so can be used for 32GB eMMC version), created with Macrium Reflect(see Note to boot from Rescue_onda USB). Video tutorials: 1. Preparation of USB sticks for Android and Windows. 2. Backup of entire eMMC. 3. Edit partition table. 4. Debloat Android(remove chinese apps). 5. Restore Android and Windows after repartition without losing data

    Android firmware

Hi, I'm trying to find the stock firmware (Android & Windows, although I've already seen a thread for the Windows one on this forum, thanks!) for this tablet, but the official site (https://www.onda-tablet.com/download/ I think??) doesn't have anything, or even mention this tablet. Does anybody have a link to download it? Thanks!
  10. I tested. Works. Use the "flash.xml." System.img partition is too large for the previous configuration. This removes all partitions, including Windows. After Android update, you will need to install Windows again. 15. Hello! Please help me find the firmware Onda V801 quad-core V2. All links on the site http://www.onda-tablet.com no longer work . P.S. Sorry for my English))
  16. Hello, I'm trying to update my Onda v975s quadcore firmware and I'm having a lot of problems. I first tried to use the app that comes with the tablet, which is called "Update", but it doesn't work. When I use the "online update" option, it says "unknown error". Local update requires the rom files. So, I went to the onda firmware download page (http://www.ondaforum.com/files/category/8-onda-v975s-rom/) And I downloaded the "V975s Core4_v3.4.0_v7-11232014.zip" file. I used the "phoenix suite" program, but it wouldn't detect that the tablet was connected. Then turned the tablet off, plugged it via USB and pressed the power button 10 times, and then the phoenix suite program started the update, but the progress bar didn't move, and even though I left it for hours, it did nothing. I, then, took the rom file and copied it into the tablet itself, and I used the "update" app and the "local update" option. But that didn't work either. Then I thought that the problem was that the rom I downloaded wasn't the correct one, but when I tried downloading other roms, I got an error while extracting them in my desktop site. It appears that the files are corrupt, and cannot be extracted. So, now I'm pretty much out of ideas. I would be very grateful if you could re-upload the corrupt roms so your costumers can actually extract the files and use them... or maybe fix the "update" app, so we don't have to go through all this tedious process. My tablet information: Model number: V975s Core4 Android version: 4.2.2 Firmware version: 3.3.2_V1 Kernel version: 3.3.0 onda@SRV2013 #2 Build number: fiber_ondam975q5-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 20131226 test-keys Thank you in advance, I hope you can help me with this.
  17. Hi there, After successfully updated my Onda v919 3G Air - 64GB (v1) tablet to Windows 10, I want to flash a new Android firmware version. But I am a bit confused what version to choose. Currently on the Android side I have: Kernel: 3.10.20-263389-ga2ba413-dirty inet_rance@supperFAE02 #23 Thu Jan 29 21:17:35 CST 2015 Build number: v1.0.0_v1 In the Download section I noticed two sub-sections which contains several firmware versions. Sub-Section: V919 Air Dual System V919 AIR DualOS_android4.4_V1-3_20150808.rar (2015-08-08) V919 Air _Android dual system firmware 20150410.rar Subsection: V919 3G Air Dual OS V919 3G Air DualOS_Android firmware _20150204.rar RE-POST (2015-2-3) V919 3G Air DualOS 64GB_20150127.zip (2015-01-27) V919 3G Air DualOS 64GB_Android system firmware.rar (2015-01-19) V919 3G AIR DualOS_android 4.4_V5_20150615 (2015-06-15) From other site, only v5 tablet isn't it? My questions are: Do I only need to look in the "V919 3G Air Dual OS" sub-section (because of the 3G I am having)? I am planning to flash "V919 3G Air DualOS_Android firmware _20150204.rar RE-POST". Is this the best choice? Should I also update BIOS before flashing Android? Can I flash Android after updating to Windows 10? Hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance FJP84

  24. My question is, how can i update v975w firmware? What do i have to do to update it?
  25. Hi everyone, I have spent hours researching the wide range of Chinese tablets on offer around various websites. I am seriously considering buying the Onda V989 Tablet, for the most part the specs look amazing. I just have some questions that I hope you guys could help answer: 1) I've heard that the display brightness is quite low on this tablet, is this true and if so how much does it hinder the experience, especially considering it has a Retina quality screen? 2) I've seen on some youtube videos that the touchscreen can be unresponsive at times, as in you have to tap 2-3 times before your touch registers. This is rare but I have seen it happen. Can anyone relate to this? 3) Could I get an average figure for battery life, considering I would be using the tablet for browsing, watching movies, and making notes. I don't really play games, but if I do they wouldn't be complex 3D types like Asphalt 8 etc. 4) Could I get a figure for charging time? 5) If all the above issues are real, have they released any new firmware updates to rectify/improve them. Or are there any custom ROMs out there which would help? Sorry for all the questions also any other hints/tips/tablet recommendations would be greatly appreciated, as I've never bought a Chinese tablet before. Thanks in advance
